The club is a terrific initiative. It encourages men to read, meet, discuss and connect. It provides social engagement, a sense of community, and purposeful activity. A "book club" is non threatening, as it is not mandatory to talk about yourself. Instead it is a safe place to talk, with a book as a conversation starter. Participants develop social skills and confidence. And the reading provides simple, accessible and engaging activity between meetings. The structure is almost invisible, and it's flexible. Clubs can be set up anywhere, and be of any size. The name is great, it encourages enquiry, and leaning in. A very good program and a credit to its founder.
