Hi, Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 18-40, also the average age range of sporting club members. Richmond Wellbeing has partnered with the Western Australian Mental Health Commission to give men’s mental health a sporting chance, through Bouncing Back, our free, four-part mental health awareness training program.

Bouncing Back – Giving Mental Health a Sporting Chance, was developed with the support of the Kalamunda Cricket Club Inc. Mental health awareness is such a serious issue for men and this program will potentially save lives, improve their mental health and have many flow-on effects for our friends, families and the wider community.

We would love the opportunity to promote this new and vital training program through AMHF.

Please feel free to contact me at any time for further information.

    Kind regards

    Paul Peacock

Hi, I do an interview program called Live Wire Connections on community radio BBBfm 89.1 based in the Barossa Valley SA. I interview a range of people about local and more national issues of interest to our listeners. I would like to book an interview for later in the afternoon on Monday 23rd September about the “Man with a Pram” initiative. I think it is a great theme for dads, kids and families. I have left a message with Glen and would like to chat to organise this interview time. We this event recently in Gawler SA and I spotted the coverage of this fundraiser. I look forward to hearing from Glen or another contact person from AMHF. Cheers, Margaret Williams.

Hi there, I’m currently in year 12 and writing my oral presentation on how men are being affected by the womens equality movement.

I was wanting to know if the data provided in conjunction with the 50/50 by 2030 foundation is the most up to date statistics about the gender equality gap? It seems to be from March 2018 and I was wandering if there is anything more up to date or if that is the most recent data available?

    Thank you.

HI, i’m an outreach mental health nurse to the isolated communities in our area, they get no other outreach services. I organise an event each year for health and other services outreach, as kind of a community day. I’ve been looking to find something specific for our men, with very little luck. Today, I found this

and wonder if I could speak to someone, as we are in Victoria, but the isolated communities are right at the NSW border. Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers Birgit

    Hi all,

I have been monitoring your group for some years now, brought to my attention through a friend of mine David Egan of Brisbane.

I am looking at getting involved if it suits all in sundry, with a quick enquiry into your current work around Australia and to how your donate funds are distrubuted?

I look forward to hearing from you

I’d like to understand the main cause behind male suicide. What signs to look for?

I worry for my eldest son whose ex partner is denying him access to his children. It’s tearing him apart. I don’t want my son to become a statistic, but to see him healthy and happy again. I hadn’t seen him for a couple of months due to our time frames clashing. I was horrified by the amount of weight he had lost in that time. When I saw him he said he was happy regardless of the circumstances, but what I saw in his eyes was a haunted man. Not a happy one. Why do women do this to the father of their children? It’s cruel.

What is the best way I can support him as his mum? How do i strengthen my relationship with him? He has withdrawn from me tho not completely and this worries me.

Greg/ Glen- how do you suggest I get a piece of the action concerning the new national men’s health policy and discuss my PhD on older men and suicide with the minister?

The one in three campaign has been proven time and time again to be false. One in three men are not victims of domestic and family violence. It really detracts from your message about encouraging men to be proactive in taking responsibility for their health if you have false information. I can’t trust the information on here now as i feel like it is informed by Men’s Rights Activists.
