Heya, I’m female but I’m writing because I think my mum has been using coercive control through out our lives, and I feel like I’m only realising it now at 40. Is there someone I can ask please?

You need to up date website because of this extract from it:

“This year, International Men’s Day will be held on Monday 19th November 2018, though many people will hold their activities and celebrations before or after the main event.”

    Hello Glenn Poole

We are so happy to read your comments in The Australian.

Suicide Prevention has been hijacked and the focus on Males being 3/4s suicides lost. National Prevention programs including Govmt barely mention Males.

    Its shocking.

    Thank you, thank you.

    Hi there,

As if new parents don’t already have enough to worry about, the decisions that must be

made when bringing baby home for the first time, and the subsequent few months can be

some of the toughest moments ever. They can be an anxiety provoking challenge.

How do we best approach giving new parents the advice they need and help reassure them

they’re doing the best they can and are making the right choices? Hopefully I can show you

I used to work as a complementary therapist but am now just starting out as a writer and I

was putting together a piece on a different topic when I discovered It

occurred to me that your readers would really appreciate a piece that covers how to know

whether you’re making the right choices for your new baby – and how to ease your parental

I’d also be happy to write around any other ideas you had too. Of course, the article will be

tailored to your existing content and fully referenced for accuracy.

Would you mind if I sent you a piece to read through?

    Kind wishes

    Hi Folks,

I have lived with depression for 20 years. I have learnt to live with it, cope with it and grow with it.

I have time to contribute and have life experience on my side to offer others some sage advice to laugh at life and enjoy the moments that can be lonely and dull.

    Hello there,

I’ve just left a voice message for Glen but thought I’d put my request in writing. I’m looking for information about the connection between paid parental leave for father (paternity leave) and health benefits for men, either physical or mental health. I can’t find information about this specifically – all the research focused on benefits to women (health and economic), benefits to employers and benefits to children. If you could help point me in the right direction, that would be fantastic.

    Hi Glen,

I’m a volunteer at Mentoring Men and was in last week’s Men’s Forum.

I just completed making both an edited podcast (35mins) and a Men’s Forum (Glen Poole) promo video (2mins) which I’m sure Ian Westmoreland would be happy for you to have if you want it. Cheers Peter U

Glad i caught the zoom last week.

    Made some good connections.

My OMNI#4 groups are in recess, but i do not have any support from OMNI Inc. My mens groups are not there preferred business. There is a massive need in the Riverina for connecting with men in nursing homes.

    I am open for suggestions.

I am part of an organisation called Shed Happens. We are not part of Aust Men’s Sheds , however are in the area surrounding men’s physical and psychological health. Our motto is, “Working on hearts, not projects”. On the back of a very successful Corporate Breakfast to celebrate IMD in 2019, this year we are planning a IMD breakfast on the day and a Men’s Expo family day on the following Saturday. The Expo will highlight the six pillars of IMD and focus on what is available for men in Mackay QLD. We would like the presence of AMHF at our breakfast and primarily a stand at our Expo. We are a charitable organisation and will be paying for a guest speaker at the breakfast, so there is not much money around to support your attendance. Please advise if it is possible for a representative to attend. Do you know any members of AMHF who are in Mackay who can offer any expertise in men’s health?

    Kind regards, Frank

Hi, Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 18-40, also the average age range of sporting club members. Richmond Wellbeing has partnered with the Western Australian Mental Health Commission to give men’s mental health a sporting chance, through Bouncing Back, our free, four-part mental health awareness training program.

Bouncing Back – Giving Mental Health a Sporting Chance, was developed with the support of the Kalamunda Cricket Club Inc. Mental health awareness is such a serious issue for men and this program will potentially save lives, improve their mental health and have many flow-on effects for our friends, families and the wider community.

We would love the opportunity to promote this new and vital training program through AMHF.

Please feel free to contact me at any time for further information.

    Kind regards

Hi, I do an interview program called Live Wire Connections on community radio BBBfm 89.1 based in the Barossa Valley SA. I interview a range of people about local and more national issues of interest to our listeners. I would like to book an interview for later in the afternoon on Monday 23rd September about the “Man with a Pram” initiative. I think it is a great theme for dads, kids and families. I have left a message with Glen and would like to chat to organise this interview time. We this event recently in Gawler SA and I spotted the coverage of this fundraiser. I look forward to hearing from Glen or another contact person from AMHF. Cheers, Margaret Williams.

Hi there, I’m currently in year 12 and writing my oral presentation on how men are being affected by the womens equality movement.

I was wanting to know if the data provided in conjunction with the 50/50 by 2030 foundation is the most up to date statistics about the gender equality gap? It seems to be from March 2018 and I was wandering if there is anything more up to date or if that is the most recent data available?

    Thank you.

HI, i’m an outreach mental health nurse to the isolated communities in our area, they get no other outreach services. I organise an event each year for health and other services outreach, as kind of a community day. I’ve been looking to find something specific for our men, with very little luck. Today, I found this

and wonder if I could speak to someone, as we are in Victoria, but the isolated communities are right at the NSW border. Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers Birgit

    Hi all,

I have been monitoring your group for some years now, brought to my attention through a friend of mine David Egan of Brisbane.

I am looking at getting involved if it suits all in sundry, with a quick enquiry into your current work around Australia and to how your donate funds are distrubuted?

I look forward to hearing from you

I’d like to understand the main cause behind male suicide. What signs to look for?

I worry for my eldest son whose ex partner is denying him access to his children. It’s tearing him apart. I don’t want my son to become a statistic, but to see him healthy and happy again. I hadn’t seen him for a couple of months due to our time frames clashing. I was horrified by the amount of weight he had lost in that time. When I saw him he said he was happy regardless of the circumstances, but what I saw in his eyes was a haunted man. Not a happy one. Why do women do this to the father of their children? It’s cruel.

What is the best way I can support him as his mum? How do i strengthen my relationship with him? He has withdrawn from me tho not completely and this worries me.
