The Freemasons Foundation for their long standing commitment to supporting men's health research

The Freemasons Foundation is the charitable arm of Freemasons in SA/NT and a leading charity supporting men, their families and communities. The Foundation has generously provided more than 3.6 Mi in funding to the Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men's Health since 2007 to support students and early career scientists to undertake research, and to fund health education and initiatives, aimed at improving the health and well-being of men. The nomination acknowledges all Freemasons behind the scenes fundraising in their communities to support the important work of the Freemasons Foundation and the Centre. The Centre, based at the University of Adelaide, has 19 research programs (with state, national and international collaborations) across three themes; health services and preventative health, basic science and clinical and population health, addressing those conditions that contribute the most to ill-health, loss of independence and workforce participation and premature death in men.
