From Lads to Dads is a four-week program being run by Parentline ACT that seeks to give new (and not so new) dads support, advice and tools to become a more confident, effective father, partner and parent.
The program is not about how to change nappies and what temperature the bottle of milk should be when feeding baby, this is course is about being a dad, the most important man in your child’s life.
The program consists of two-hour group sessions running Thursday night from 6pm-8pm over four consecutive weeks at the Parentline Offices in Weston. The first course starts 13 February for four weeks, the second course will commence 19 March.
Each week is split into two parts, one-hour education session where they will learn about how to better manage stress, build resilience, how to accept change and move through the change process, etc.
The second part is an open style group discussion, where participants are able to ask questions, share experiences and support each other in a supportive and confidential environment.
