It’s okay, not to be okay was started in 2016 by three grieving sisters who lost their brother Ben to suicide. It’s okay, not to be okay aims to bring the important conversations of mental health, suicide prevention and grief to the community. They run a very successful social media page that shares important information, stories and posts where people are free to share their own stories. They also host events and selling merchandise. They encourage people to break stigma by wearing their message and being a part of this important conversation. All profits from their merchandise sales get donated annually to a charity that we choose to support. Recipients of our donations in the past have been Support After Suicide and Lifeline. Individually each member of the Hocking family have been raising awareness, equipping themselves with further education to help save the lives of others.
