Research Seminar: Innovative Interventions in Men's Health

In most parts of the world, health outcomes among men continue to be substantially worse than among women. In Australia, men suffer more illness and die earlier than their female counterparts, right from the start of their lives. Men take their own lives at four times the rate of women. Non-communicable diseases such as cancer and heart disease all account for the majority of male deaths.

This seminar brings together transdisciplinary researchers to discuss innovative interventions that promote men’s physical and mental health. The seminar will explore the challenges and opportunities of translating research evidence into real-world practice to raise awareness of men’s health issues and improve men’s health outcomes. Speakers will present research findings and share their experiences of the implementing research into practice, followed by a panel discussion.

Light refreshments will be served during a networking session after the event.
