The Southern Men's Gathering, November 8 to 10 2019, is a 3-day residential experience in the heart of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula.
Supported by the Southern Men’s Group, the Mankind Project South Australia and Tasmen, this event will be a beautiful weekend of connection, openness, authenticity, depth, support, respect and trust as men experience a range of activities designed to help them explore their self-concept.
The theme of this experiential event is ‘Share the Journey’, and the invitation is for men to come together and reflect upon their life journey so far by contemplating such ideas as; “Who do I believe I am, why do I have these beliefs, and are these beliefs serving me or could I benefit from re-evaluating them?”
This event will run counter to the often narrow and repressive culture of traditional masculinity, where superficial conversation, disconnection and suppression of emotion tend to rule. Men will connect deeply with one another, form support networks and community, and exercise their emotional literacy.
The Southern Men’s Gathering is a secular event and is open to any man aged 18 years and over. We welcome all men irrespective of race, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs.
