Joshua Tree is Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Men's Health Specialist, Work Health Safety Consultant, Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Exercise Right Contributor, Real Men Move Ambassador, Men's Health Advocate, founder of several men's health initiatives including It's a Blokes Lunch, It's a Blokes Chat, and Blokes Health Australia, and charity volunteer. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist close to 10 years, Josh has helped thousands of everyday Australian Blokes diagnosed and living with a chronic disease [e.g. cancer, mental health, neurological disorders, diabetes etc.] or having sustained a sub-acute / complex injury utilise the benefits of targeted exercise management to treat, restore, and self-manage their health condition or injury. Within his professional industry, Josh is one the leading advocates for both exercise physiology and advancement of men's health services. Josh has served on the ESSA NSW state chapter board, an Exercise Right contributor, and Real Men Move Ambassador regularly facilitating men's health workshops within men's health community groups and organisations. As Work Health Safety consultant, Josh actively engages with workplaces in the implementation of workplace health and wellness strategies with the aim to prevent both physical and psychology injuries and rehabilitate workers within the workplace. These workplace health and wellness strategies have see the creation and implementation of several men's health specific initiatives to assist in the education of physical and mental health and engagement in professional services for men. As both a passionate Men's Health professional/Advocate and a person with lived physical and mental health experience, Josh outside his clinical and workplace health work actively facilitates Mental Health First Aid workshops and training within the community. Josh has founded a men's health event called It's a Blokes Lunch aimed at inspiring conversation on men's health issues and providing financial assistance to men's health specific non-for-profit organisations, community groups, and initiatives for men within the local community. Josh has founded the It's a Blokes Chat podcast and live event to continue the conversation on men's health issues and provided blokes, their partners, and support network the skills to have meaningful and crucial conversation to help blokes in crisis. Josh has founded a men's digital health initiative called 'Blokes Health Australia' with the aim to improve accessibility to health education and professional services for men. Finally, each year Josh volunteers his time to a charitable cause and campaign he is passionate about such Leukaemia Foundation's 'Angels at Work', Westmead Children's Hospital 'Bandage Bear', Rotary Club Wollongong, and Youth Off The Streets where he serves as a National Scholarship Selection Panel for Chronically Disadvantaged Young People.
