Those who’ve worked in the construction industry know the stress and pressure which comes with the job, which has significantly increased due to the impact of the recent COVID-19 lockdowns.
It can also feel difficult or uncomfortable to discuss feelings and emotions with colleagues at work. The tragic impact is that every year, 190 Australians working in the construction industry take their own lives.
This August, during Tradie Health Month, Toyota Australia will be supporting the work of mental fitness charity Gotcha4Life and their Mind Your Mate initiative, by funding a special Tomorrow Man | Tomorrow Woman Connection Workshop, specifically tailored to tradies.
This workshop will provide tradies with a mixture of engaging activities, encouraging shared laughs, and meaningful conversations.
Mental fitness and wellbeing is absolutely critical in this time of uncertainty and physical isolation which has particularly impacted the construction industry. This workshop encourages participants to open up, changing up the monotony of on-screen get togethers.
