Behind Men's Health: Australian Dad's Network

Creating connections within the community is the purpose of the Australian Dads Network, which now has around 2300 members.

In this new series created by Callum MacPherson on behalf of the Australian Men's Health Forum, ADN founder Liam Sorrell talks about the biggest challenges he faced setting up a support network for fathers from his home in Karratha, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

"I pushed the button to start the group, I’m glad I haven’t pushed the button to stop the group," said Liam, winner of this year's Men's Health Award for Best Content Creator/Community Builder.

AMHF is pleased to present the first in a new series talking to people who work with men and boys, and who are leading the way in providing effective services.

Behind Men's Health: with Liam Sorrell

The Australian Dads Network creates a place for Dads to connect and have real, honest conversations. Sharing wins and struggles we grow into stronger men. Forging mates from coast to coast to remove isolation and support strong mental health. We focus on mental health and suicide prevention and the model has proven to work. We are 1600 members strong and the conversations online and at a local level continue to inspire us all. - Liam Sorrell
