Grab Life by the Pies
In what is set to become an annual tradition, bakeries across Queensland, NSW, ACT, SA and Victoria are joining Pyneys Pie Days this weekend, to Grab a mate and Grab a Pie.
The fundraiser target is $500,000 – and will be split between men’s mateship movement Grab Life By the Balls and RizeUp, who provide assistance to families affected by domestic violence.
One dollar from every pie sold across March 13 and 14 will be donated to these non-profits, with 74 bakers taking part from Top of the Bay Bakery in Hervey Bay, to the Nimbin Bakery in NSW, Wattle Snack Bar (ACT), Para Hill Hot Bread Bakery (SA) and Hungie Fans Artisan Bakery in Cobram, Victoria.
Aside from eating pies all weekend, you can also make a direct donation.
