Snags 4 Dads for Father’s Day

Dads in Distress is heating up the barbecue for Father’s Day on September 4. The nationwide Snags 4 Dads campaign calls on people to hold a simple sausage sizzle to raise awareness for non-custodial fathers, or fathers that will not see their children this Father’s Day, September 4.

Parents Beyond BreakUp is a registered charity that supports all parents, expanding out of the organisation’s initial Dads in Distress crisis group, set up in 1999 by Tony Miller OAM, who started DIDS on a verandah in Coffs Harbour, NSW, after he could not find any support that he needed as a recently separated and highly distressed dad.

The frontline support group for dads – Dads in Distress – has expanded its services to include a telephone helpline, live chat helpline, online forums and physical, in-person support group meetups.

The DIDS support line – 1300 853 437 - will be open from 8.30am until 5pm AEST on Father’s Day and a drop in zoom room will also stay open all day for dads to have a chat with other dads.
