Calling International Men's Day champions for 2023

It's exactly six months until International Men's Day (IMD), which falls on Sunday 19 November 2023.

Building on the success of IMD 2022, we want 2023 to be the biggest celebration of International Men's Day Australia has ever seen.

To help us achieve this we need to see more organisations hosting more events, involving more people, than ever before.

If you're planning (or even thinking of planning) an International Men's Day event in 2023, please let us know via our IMD 2023 Champions form.

if you can't run an event, but would like to volunteer, you can register your interest to help make a local event happen via our IMD 2023 Champions form.

Letting us know early if you're planning an event will help us to:

  • Promote your event on the website
  • Engage the media locally, regionally and nationally
  • Get more politicians interested in supporting the day
  • Put you in contact with potential event volunteers
  • Inspire more people around Australia to host an event
  • Help us build support for International Men's Day 2023

Are you an International Men's Day Champion?

This year, for the first time, we are creating a network of International Men's Day champions who we will be consulting with regularly over the next six months. As an IMD event organiser, you could also be our:

  • IMD Champion for your town or city
  • IMD Champion for your area (region, state or territory)
  • IMD Champion for your sector (schools, workplaces etc)
  • IMD Champion for a population of men (young men, dads, older men, gay men etc)
  • IMD Champion for First Nations men
  • IMD Champion for International men in Australia (men of Chinese origin, African origin etc)

Your knowledge and experience can help us make 2023 the biggest celebration of the day in Australia ever.

So if you're hosting an IMD event, thinking of hosting an event, want to help out at an event, or want to be an IMD Champion for 2023, please let us know through our IMD 2023 champions form.

Australia's theme for IMD 2023

Last year for International Men's Day we ran with the popular theme #MakeTime4Mates. This year we've held our largest consultation on the theme among supporters and will be announcing the theme for 2023 at the start of June. You still have a few days to take part in the International Men's Day theme online survey here.
