Time to Act on Male Suicide (ACT)

The Australian Men's Health Forum is calling on the Australian Capital Territory Government to develop a plan to prevent male suicide.

Our report, Time to Act on Male Suicide in the ACT, (August, 2025), highlights the fact that 7 in 10 people who die by suicide in the ACT are men.

Please help tackle this issue by sending the Chief Minister, Andrew Barr, a message that you want to see the ACT Government taking action to prevent male suicide.

Read the petition:

YES I SUPPORT ACTION TO PREVENT MALE SUICIDE IN THE ACT

To Andrew Barr MLA, Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory

Dear Chief Minister

As you may know, 7 in 10 people who die by suicide in the ACT are men. Please target support and funding toward men at risk by launching a Male Suicide Prevention Action Plan for the ACT.
