Tassie men's group calls for input into preventive health strategy

Men’s Resources Tasmania is asking for input into Tasmania's 20-Year Preventive Health Strategy for men and boys.

Anyone wanting to have their say is invited to join Men's Resources Tasmania (MRT) from 5-7pm on Monday 14 July to “share ideas and help us ensure the 20-year strategy includes the opportunities that will see the health and wellbeing of men and boys heading in the right direction.”

People can attend online or face-to-face at Level 15 - 110 Collins Street, Hobart 7000.

The Health Strategy is about making sure everyone has what they need to live a good life, regardless of age, postcode or background. MRT is collaborating with the Department of Health to ensure male perspectives are included.

“More than 70% of our health is shaped outside the health system,” points out MRT.

“It starts in the places we live, work, and connect with others: in schools, workplaces, and neighbourhoods. Thriving local businesses, safe streets, green spaces, and strong social connections all play a vital role in keeping people healthy.”
