Understanding masculinity: call for research participants

Melbourne PhD researcher Sarah McCook is seeking to understand how men in Australia experience masculinity in their daily lives and relationships.

Her study will also examine “how men perceive and position themselves in relation to contemporary social change.”

Sarah, who is part of a broader research team from RMIT University, is looking to interview men aged 25-40 who currently live in Australia, via an individual video using Zoom that takes between 90 and 120 minutes.

“As part of the interview process, participants will be asked to share some photos that illustrate their social lives, friendships, and other important events or interests. This process is called photo elicitation,” she says.

Participants will receive a $30 digital gift voucher and all information provided will be kept confidential.
