Come down and make this Sunday 16th of June your day to remember not just the ones we have lost but to start to remember to srart making good memories with them in mind.
You are invited to join us for a walk along the beautiful coastline of the Gold Coast.
Stop at any point for yourself or with friends to play in the sand, swim in the surf, enjoy a bite to eat at either Burleigh, Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise or with us for some hot chips at The Kiosk down at the Spit.
This is for all family members and is open for you to just come watch the sunrise or join us for the walk.
There is no cost, just an opportunity to not feel like you are always walking alone.
With a Welcome to country from the Kombumerri mob, and a Didgeridoo to play as we walk onto the beach amd face the ocean, Te Manawa Ora, a Maori cultire group will send out a Karakia ( prayer ) before we hold a minite silence for the ones who lost their battle and for ourselves to embrace the community we are welcomed in to.
This is a free event, but we do offer a formal registration for future updates.
