International Men's Day Luncheon

Supported by RUOK and Southern Cross Austereo, Business Wodonga is once again pleased to be able to host our International Men’s Day Luncheon.

The Australian wide theme of International Men’s Day in 2025 is “Celebrating Men & Boys” highlighting the positive value men bring to their world, their families and their communities, whilst also raising awareness of men’s well-being.

Our Special Guest Speaker this year is Jebb Hutchison.

Jebb is a proud Wiradjuri man from Hillston, New South Wales. From humble beginnings as a small business operator in Wodonga, Jebb has combined his community leadership skills and business acumen to grow TVN On-Country’s construction, project management and procurement services with co-founders Jonathon Whelan and Gareth VanNoort.

Jebb works to strengthen relationships and create opportunities for all Indigenous businesses so that Indigenous youth have positive role models to aspire to. In 2022 Jebb realised a long-held dream to establish a not-for-profit employment and careers pathways program for young First Nations people.

Today, On-Country Pathways offers free employment programs and a unique, culturally safe driver-mentor program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth, in the Riverina Murray region. Eventually, Jebb hopes to roll out the programs nationwide.

Jebb is one of seven mental health first aid trained people within TVN On-Country and leads the company’s Mental Health Network, with its primary goal to normalise mental health conversations in the workplace.

He has lived experience of mental health challenges and believes in sharing stories to support others, just as his people have done for the last 60,000 years.

Jebb maintains his cultural beliefs, traditions, and values. He is a committee member of the Albury Wodonga Military Area Cultural Working Group and an Elder or Respected Person of the Koori Court in Victoria.

Whether out on Country with traditional owners or in a boardroom with Tier 1 builders and corporate clients, Jebb’s personable and practical approach creates successful working relationships.

We also will have a speaker from RUOK, who will inform us of positive ways that men and boys can improve their mental health and how women and girls can become involved in supporting them with this.

This promises to be a wonderful and inspiring luncheon, catered for at the beautiful La Maison Cafe and Restaurant. Book now to avoid missing out on your seat at the table.\
