The free Recalibrat8 course on July 21 will help veterans transition out of service.
Recalibrat8 is directed at those who have left the Australian Defence Force (ADF) or are considering doing so, and will be facilitated by veterans, “ensuring the content is relevant and tailored to the specific needs of our community.”
Explains program manager Kieran Toohey, “Recalibr8 is a thoughtful and constructive program informed by research conducted in partnership with the University of Newcastle (UON). To date we have run three successful Recalibr8 courses.
“Participation in the course is entirely voluntary, and there are no costs involved. We genuinely believe in the value it can provide to our fellow veterans, which is why we are reaching out to you and others who may benefit.”
The course promises to help participants.
Help veterans understand signs and symptoms of their own mental health.
Develop a strong understanding of life purpose and who they are.
Forge resilience.
Transition to a new way of life.
Reduce anxiety.
Prevent depression.
Increase productivity
