Gathering to focus on Men's Health at Work
It has long been established that having a good job is good for men’s health, whereas being out of work is generally linked to poorer health outcomes.
Work can contribute to men’s sense of purpose, identity, financial wellbeing and social connections. Workplaces have also been shown to be effective places for health programs and services to engage with men.
Sadly, there are also jobs and work environments that can have a negative impact on men’s mental and physical wellbeing.
With this in mind, the 2025 National Men’s Health Gathering is putting a focus on Men’s Health at Work, with an entire stream dedicated to talks and presentations about workplace approaches to promoting Men’s Health.
We’d like to hear from you if you’re interested in:
- Giving a presentation on men’s health at work
- Sponsoring the event and having an exhibition booth
- Attending the event as a delegate
- Sharing your ideas of what topics we should cover
Some of the topics about Men’s Health at Work that are already under consideration include:
- Promoting men’s mental health
- Psychological safety for male workers
- Addressing workplace bullying
- Reducing workplace deaths and injuries
- Promoting health checks at work
- Making workplaces friendly for dads and male carers
- Diversity, inclusion and men’s health
- Men’s health events and awareness days
- Work, health and masculine identity
