New OzHelp podcast hits the road

Coverage about men’s mental health has further increased with the launch of OzHelp’s new podcast for truckies titled Share the Load.

Two episodes of the podcast have been released during Men’s Health Week.

Share the Load is hosted by Wellbeing Support Officer Frank Arsego and talks about the challenges of truckie life, the issues drivers face and ideas for them to lead happier, healthier lives.

“The podcast series aims to reach a wider audience within the truck driving community, whilst being able to share some great tips, advice and research on ways we can support truck driver’s health and wellbeing,” said OzHelp CEO, Darren Black.

Share the Load is part of OzHelp’s new Health in Gear initiative, which provides a range of resources to drivers and a Truckie Tune-Up health check, piloting across Queensland and NSW.

Listen to Share the Load, real conversations about staying well on the road.

The program is funded through the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s (NHVR) Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative (HVSI) and evaluation of the program will be undertaken by OzHelp in collaboration with the University of Wollongong.
