Snags 4 Dads returns to support separated Fathers on Father’s Day

Dads in Distress is encouraging people to host a Sausage Sizzle on Father’s Day next Sunday, 3 September.

The national barbecue campaign launched last year to raise awareness for non-custodial fathers, or for dads who won’t see their kids on Father’s Day.

The not-for-profit charity, a sub-branch of Parents Beyond Breakup, has a number of resources to help people promote their barbecue.

In addition, Dads In Distress, will open an all-day Zoom Room for dads and hold a major DiDs online meeting at night on Father’s Day. These Zoom check-ins are an opportunity for separated dads to hear from others and share their experiences in a non-judgemental space with an experienced facilitator.

Dads are also reminded they can call the new Helpline at any time: 1300 853 437

To lighten the mood, DiDs is also highlighting bad dad jokes on its Facebook page leading up to Father’s Day.
