Help AMHF build a better future for men and boys
It’s been a huge 12 months in men’s health and the work being done by the Australian Men’s Health Forum will continue to expand as we continue our mission to create a healthier future for men and boys in Australia.
As we approach the end of the 2020-2021 financial year, we gratefully invite you to support AMHF with a tax deductible donation.
Every dollar helps us in multiple ways. In 2020-2021 we:
-
Staged the National Men’s Health Awards, showcasing the fantastic work being done by the men’s health sector in Australia.
-
Hosted Men’s Health Connected – bringing together speakers from across the men's health sector to discuss a range of important men's topics.
-
Launched the Save Aussie Men campaign, calling on the Morrison Government to develop a national plan to tackle male suicide in Australia.
-
Promoted Men’s International Day and developed resources and a toolkit to help individuals and organisations run events on the day.
-
Released several important publications including A 10-step guide to developing male-friendly services and The case for a male suicide prevention strategy, published on World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10.
-
Secured a ministerial commitment to fund male suicide prevention programs at a round table event with Government minister, David Coleman MP before Men’s Health Week 2021 and released a Charter for Men’s Mental Health developed in response to May’s Federal Budget, which overlooked men’s health in general and male suicide in particular.
-
Piloted a fund-raising initiative #Push4Men, to improve men’s health literacy around heart health, accompanied by the new Know Your Man Facts campaign addressing 10 key areas men can reduce the risk of heart disease.
-
Amplified the work being done by others through on-going news coverage and our events calendar.
AMHF’s work is as diverse as the men and boys it serves. As the peak body for men’s health in Australia, our focus is placed on the social determinants of health, bringing together the leaders in men’s health to make change happen. We appreciate your support on this journey. Every little bit counts.
